Have you ever hiked through the bamboo forests of Hawaii or Japan?
Cool, even in the hottest weather. Humbling stalks reach so far to the sky you can barely see the top. When you push the stalks they bend and sway.
I imagine that the butterflies know this. Their light, dainty bodies are happiest when surrounded by strong, tall, flexible, bamboo protection.
May we all live like bamboo – tall, strong, and bending, so that we might never break. When we live this way, even the most delicate in our lives will seek our presence.
